POLYSOMNOGRAPHY

Sleep quality is important because it affects all daily activities (work, social and psychological), but most importantly, it affects life expectancy.

Night Apnea Syndrome is the most common sleep disorder (6% of the population): it causes frequent and temporary interruptions in breathing during sleep, with reduced blood oxygenation and sleep fragmentation.

Approximately 80% of people with sleep apnea are unaware that they have it.

Related pathologies

  • Type II diabetes
  • Cardiovascular Diseases
  • Hypertension
  • Memory Disorders

What to do?

Cardiorespiratory Polysomnography simultaneously records during sleep: breathing, snoring, heart rate, blood oxygen percentage and sleeping position.

It is possible to perform the examination at the CAVOK Medical Center or directly at the patient's home.

Within a few days, a medical report will be issued that will allow the specialist to determine the best treatment.

It will be possible to start the Home Titration Pathway (CPAP), to allow the patient to get used to using the CPAP therapy device and to identify the correct usage parameters.
