Contrary to the widespread belief that acupuncture is only used to treat pain, it has a therapeutic effect on many pathologies, both acute and chronic, by acting on all the body's regulatory systems.

The advantage of acupuncture - a practice that originated in Oriental medicine - is its ability to relieve the symptoms of disease without the use of drugs and without significant side effects.
A cycle of acupuncture sessions produces a therapeutic effect based on the activation of specific areas of the nervous system, stimulating the release of endogenous substances that relax the muscles and have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Auriculotherapy, on the other hand, is based on the stimulation of specific points or areas of the auricle through the insertion of needles. This antalgic technique has been used since ancient times.

There are many examples of how it is used in clinical practice:

  • Pain management: acute and chronic musculoskeletal algia, headache, facial neuralgia
  • In neurology: dizziness syndromes, tremors
  • In gastroenterology: constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea and vomiting, dyskinesia of the biliary tract, haemorrhoidal pain.
  • In the field of obstetrics and gynaecology: amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, climacteric syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, hyperemesis gravidarum.
  • In dermatology: non-allergic urticaria, pruritus sine materia, onychophagia (onychomycosis)
  • Psycho-emotional disorders: anxiety and related disorders, insomnia, DAP (panic disorder), mild-to-moderate depressive syndromes
  • In dentistry: TMJ syndrome (temporomandibular joint pain), dental anxiety, anaesthesiology, post-extraction pain
  • In pneumology: recurrent ENT disorders, sinusitis, tinnitus
  • Tobacco addiction
