What is hyperhidrosis and how to recognise it?
Hyperhidrosis consists of the excessive sweating of certain areas of the body, mainly armpits, hands and feet.

Those who suffer from hyperhidrosis presents one or more of these characteristics:

  • Excessive sweating, clearly visible, in a specific spot, for at least 6 months, without apparent cause
  • Sweat on both sides of the body
  • Disorder to perform common daily activities
  • Frequency of at least one episode per week

How can it be treated?
To determine treatment, it is important to make a correct diagnosis and assess the cause of excessive sweating. Treatment can be either minimally invasive, such as botulinum toxin injections, or surgical.
