Physiatrics - Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine - is a medical speciality that deals with the rehabilitation and recovery of a patient's musculoskeletal, nervous and respiratory functions.
It does not focus solely on the treatment of one pathology, but aims to improve the patient's overall condition by offering integrated treatment and rehabilitation programmes with the staff of our specialist doctors and physiotherapists, coordinated by the specialist physiotherapist.
Physiatrics is aimed at patients with degenerative musculoskeletal conditions (such as osteoarthritis), post-traumatic, neurological, cardiac and respiratory conditions.
In addition, our team works closely with the urologist-gynaecologist at the CAVOK Center for Pelvic Floor Treatment and Rehabilitation through a multidisciplinary pathway that allows for complete patient care.
Infiltrations are a tool that can solve many joint diseases, and much more. They consist of injections of hyaluronic acid, anti-inflammatory or corticosteroid drugs performed under ultrasound guidance by a physiatrist or orthopaedic specialist to improve the prognosis of arthrosis, tendinopathies, bursitis, haematomas, calcifications and other joint pathologies.
Being able to move well and without pain into old age is a right: talk to our expert and choose your course of treatment or prevention!
