An infectious disease examination is usually carried out to assess and exclude the presence of infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria or other micro-organisms. An infectious disease examination may also be carried out to determine preventive measures in preparation for travel to tropical countries (or after return).

The Infectious Diseases Service provides comprehensive patient care in coordination with the Travel Medicine and Vaccination Service.

At the CAVOK Center, you can perform a specialist infectious disease examination, combining it, if necessary, with blood and microbiological tests or instrumental ultrasound examinations to better assess the pathology.

The infectious examination also allows the identification of the best pathways for prevention and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
