Gastroenterology

The digestive system can be affected by many diseases and the gastroenterologist, or specialist in gastroenterology, examines and treats all the organs and apparatus involved in the digestion of food. He deals with diseases of the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, gallbladder and pancreas.

Patients are offered the following services at the Gastroenterology Outpatient Clinic at the CAVOK Center:

• Gastroenterological examination with the possibility of a complete ultrasound of the abdomen and loops intestinal
• Colonproctology examination for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus
• Breath test for Helicobacter Pylori
• Breath test for lactose intolerance
• Lactose intolerance genetic test
• Genetic test for coeliac disease
