Endocrinology

Endocrinology is the branch of medicine that deals with the endocrine glands.
The main pathologies treated by the endocrinologist are:

• Thyroid diseases (simple goiter, nodular goiter, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Basedow's disease)
• Thyroid Tumours
• Menstrual cycle and sex hormone disorders (polycystic ovary syndrome and prolactinoma)
• Pathologies of the adrenal glands (Conn's disease, pheochromocytoma, Cushing's syndrome)
• Secondary Hypertension

At the CAVOK Center, specialist medical examinations and diagnostic tests such as ecography are carried out glandular and the echo-aspirate, with cytological examination.

There is also a multidisciplinary course dedicated to thyroid problems:
