At the CAVOK Aeromedical Center, certified ENAC IT-004-AeMC, you can carry out medical examinations, assessment and laboratory tests for the Achievement, Revalidation and Renewal of Medical Certificates of Psychophysical fitness for the Aeronautical Certificates of all Classes of Flight.

INITIAL CLASS 1 and 3

The following steps are required to obtain an EASA Class 1 or Class 3 Medical Certificate:

  • Acceptance of the Candidate with appropriate forms
  • Filling out Application Form
  • Urine haematochemical and physicochemical tests
  • Alcohol and Drug Testing
  • Instrumental examinations (Audiometry and Spirometry)
  • Psychological Assessment, with test and interview
  • Specialised ophthalmic examination with instrumental examinations (Tonometry, visual field and possible eye test 2nd level colour perception*)
  • ENT specialist examination with instrumental examinations (Timpanometry and possible Endoscopy)
  • Specialised cardiology examination with instrumental tests (ECG)
  • AME (Aero-Medical Examiner)
  • Delivery of the medical certificate

All activities are carried out directly at the CAVOK Aeromedical Center.
The time estimated for completion of the entire pathway is approximately 5 hours.

* Any additional 2nd level medical assessment are not included in the pathway for the Initial medical check of Class 1 and 3.

What should you bring on the day of your medical check?

  • Your valid ID or passport
  • Your current medical certificate
  • Your flight licence or cabin crew certificate (if applicable)
  • Glasses and/or contact lenses (if applicable)
  • A recent prescription for glasses and/or lenses
  • List of medications you take daily (if applicable)
  • Past clinical documentation, specialist medical examinations carried out in the past, instrumental examinations performed (if applicable)
