Aviation English Test

At the Cavok Center, you can take the test to certify your knowledge of the English language and assess the written and oral skills of non-native English speakers, in accordance with the Language Proficiency Requirements set forth by ICAO regulations and European and national standards.

A language certification designed for the aviation industry

The English test complies with ICAO regulations and, compared to other similar tests, places particular emphasis on communication in English, both in terms of comprehension and interaction.

The CAVOK Center is authorized by AFAN as an official English certification center for pilots (AFAN Center No. 150).

How the AELP Test Is Administered

The test assesses knowledge and understanding of the English language, both in general and in the aviation context, through a clear and progressive structure.

Step 1: Introductory Questions

An initial phase designed to assess students' general proficiency in English

Step 2: Messages to Listen to and Interpret

Ten messages to listen to and then repeat, decipher, or explain

Step 3: Fill in the blanks

A test modeled after the IELTS and Cambridge standards, which serve as the basis for ICAO exams.

Step 4: Analysis of Images and Situations

Two photos to use in answering questions about possible scenarios that could occur in the aviation field, including both standard and emergency situations.
